Magical Objects

This is a very meaningdul quote by Daphne Rose Kingma:

Our material possession embody our histories, and remind us, perhaps even more than mere remembering, who we are, where we have been. For this reason, the objects that inhabited your children's lives make wonderful gifts for them in adulthood.
Some of my most treasured possessions - my mother's prayer book, the crystal from my father's watch - and my daughter's - the poems I wrote the week she was bron, the wodden angels she got every Christmas - are valuable not because of their material worth but because they symbols of a whole realtionship, tailsmans of a life-shaping love.
No matter how ordinary or even worthless a particular object may be, it can hold a message that touches your heart. So cherish the objects that carry these messages for you, and retain for your children the objects that have the power to carry the messages for them.
